The obsession with Alice
Alice in Wonderland is one of the most well known stories on earth. It’s been adapted for stage, film, and television, so it’s no surprise that there would be anime adaptations as well. But numerous updates on ANN about the upcoming Code Geass OVA as well as my semi-recent viewing of Rozen Maiden made me realize something: Anime loves Alice in Wonderland. A lot.
12 Moments in Anime: #8 Oh, CLAMP
I’ve loved CLAMP since my beginning days as an anime fan. Cardcaptor Sakura was the first anime I ever watched in Japanese, and it’s still one of my all time favorites. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles was also a very early favorite, both the anime and manga. (Though now I realize that Bee Train did a shit job with the TV series.) So yeah, I like CLAMP. I like what they do. But this year, not so much.
