Happy birthday to me

I can finally call those 1-800 numbers and order stupid things! Yay! And I think I can feel my allergies kicking in…So for funsies, I’ve decided to share a few facts about myself, and want you readers to do something for me. Pleeeaaase?

  1. I love tea – Fact: I’m not a big fan of trying new food. But I will try any kind of tea. I love tea. Tea is happiness personified.
  2. I love musical theatre – I love it so much that I’m going to be majoring in it in college! Last week I got an acceptance letter from New Jersey City University. I’ll be a close distance from both my house and New York City. I’m really excited. I’m ready to get the hell out of my town.
  3. I hate math and science – with a passion that burns with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns,
  4. I’m a Ravenclaw. – I finally remembered to get a Pottermore account a couple of weeks ago! Getting sorted into Ravenclaw was a bit unexpected as my friend and I generally agreed that I was either a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff. But Ranenclaw is awesome. I’m proud, dammit!
  5. I have a tendency to touch my neck a lot. – Especially when I’m feeling anxious or generally uneasy. I think it only started happening recently, too.

NOW. As a gift to me, I’d like y’all (all..what, five of you?) to list three things that you like about my blog, and three things that you think I could improve upon.
DO IIIIIIIT.

    Hi!!!! (It’s chilielm from lj)
    since I’m super uncreative right now, I’m just going to base my facts on yours ^^;
1.) I love pancakes! They are literally my favorite food. I could eat them forever. All kinds of pancakes. mmmmmmm
2.) I’m an avid concert-goer. I go to a lot of “indie-hipster-shit” concerts or local bands.
3.) I love history. I used to really dislike it in middle school – early high school, but relatively recently I’ve fallen in love with it. No idea how or why, honestly. Probably something with an Art History class I took.
4.) I’m a Ravenclaw too! *highfive* (as dubbed by Pottermore) but I believe I’m more between that and Slytherin.
5.) I tap my collar bones a lot like you touch your neck. My collar bones aren’t even that defined or anything so idk why. I also tend to pull strange faces when I get really involved in talking or thinking.

congrats on the college acceptance! & HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I haven’t ever commented on your posts here, but I do keep updated on them! <3

      Hey, bro!

      1. I’m actually not too big on breakfast foods, haha. But I do love me some chocolate chip pancakes every now and again.
      2. Pathetically, I’ve never been to a concert before. It’s on my imaginary bucket list, though.
      3. History was one of my stronger classes. The Revolutionary war is my favorite time period.
      4. Aww yiss, Ravenclaw! ADD MEEEEEEEE. I’m SeerFeather9761
      5. I make strange faces a lot, too

And thank you so much! <333

Happy birthday~ You turned 18 right? Congrats.

I love tea too but since I don’t like sweet/fruity things, I won’t drink any sweetened tea. But I love black, green, and oolong tea =) I dislike math too but science is alright if it’s not too complicated (and there’s not too much math involved).

Well, if you really want to know what you could improve with your blog, I think you should make your posts a bit longer and go into more detail about why you did or didn’t like certain things about the anime you’re talking about. Like, if you thought this series sucked or this series was brilliant, go into detail about why using examples from the episodes and such. There’s nothing wrong with being a concise writer and just wanting to get your thoughts out there in a blurb, but I feel your opinions would have more impact with more explanation =) I also would like to see more editorial posts from you but that’s just personal taste in the kinds of posts I like to read and write.

    • myna says :

      Thank you very much!

I drink my tea straight up, too. ; D

And okay, thanks for the feedback! I’ll try to elaborate a bit more in future posts. (And I’m actually planning to post an editorial next week. Yay)

Oh man, it’s your birthday too today? Happy birthday to us!

Tea is a fabulous choice of beverage, so many types, so little time :)

  4. draggle says :

    Happy birthday!

I like how your posts are to the point, without needless fluff. Maybe you could occasionally add a bit more depth to your posts. I dislike the fact that you make your readers do work on your birthday!

  5. ryuuko13 says :

    Happy birthday my dear friend!

I can’t stand tea to be honest. But I’ve an unholy love affair with anything that bleeds chocolate. And curry. I also have a weakness for fresh-out-of-the-fryer fries.
I’m pretty sure math and science hate me just as much as they hate me.
I haven’t been sorted on Pottermore yet. Pretty sure I’m a Hufflepuff.
I have a hard time keeping my hands out of my hair. It’s probably why I shed so much.

I love that your blog helps me avoid crap anime. Without you I probably would have somehow ended up liking Angel Beats because everyone else I knows likes it. I’m such a sheep. <>
I also agree with everyone else’s comments on more depth. Depth is good. It is your friend. And it makes us happy.

    Also, congrats on your acceptance!

One more thing. Love your new banner too.

  7. Amy says :

    happy (belated) birthday!!

I…can’t think of 3 things right now, but I definitely like your more random posts (non-episodic/anime-review) such as your top _____ or etc. posts. So more of those would be awesome. Longer posts would be good too…cause I’m a tl;dr type of person

    • myna says :

      Thanks!
I haven’t been doing too much of those because of college/scholarship/laziness purposes, haha. But I have some planned! Don’t worry!

Wait, you’re a tl;dr person but want longer posts? :?

      • Amy says :

Oh, I meant as in I’m the type of person to make tl;dr posts and I enjoy reading them too. I realize now my original post was kind of confusing…

  8. Animeguigas says :

A bit late but happy birthday!!

I like tea as much as cofee.
Congrats for being accepted in a college. Sucess.
Noooo. Math and Science are AWESOME. I love it.
I have a tendency to scratch my arm :)

I pretty much agree with everyone else that commented here about the size of your posts (especially Yumeka, she nailed it). It’s too short! Your should make longer posts, more details, etc. I’d like to see something alike Psgels reviews regarding the size of the posts (well, I think you know his blog, don’t you?). * Fanboy mode on* You should rewrite your terrible RahXephon review, haha.

    • myna says :

Thanks! It feels great to be accepted~

Yes, I do visit Psgels’ blog regularly. His reviews are generally around 450 words or so, and I like to keep mine under 250-300. My Guilty Crown review is the longest one I’ve written thus far.
(Heh, well I did write my RahXephon review at 1AM. Maybe one day I’ll edit it. Or not. ;P)
